More than one antispyware program ? does it do anything to the efficancy of one vs the other?

You should only run one firewall and one anti virus, but you should have several anti spyware programs! They all do slightly different jobs so you need a suite for full protection. Try these;

http://www.ewido.net - AVG(Ewido) anti trojan.

http://www.safer-networking.org - Spybot Search and Destroy anti spyware. Use the Teatimer settings to protect Internet Explorer, and the Immuniser to stop malware getting on your pc.

you can't run two virus programs without problems most of the time but you can run two or even three different firewalls, but then you can have software that blocks unwanted cookies like pest patrol that garuds against other bugs that anti virus software does not check for and firewalls won't stop. And windows Sp3 can give you some problems on older systems, but you can get help Thur teck support for it.
Yeah if you've downloaded one of those antispyware programs that are bogus and identify everything as spyware when in actuality they are they spyware programs. Hint if you have something all of the sudden show up in your system tray and start saying "you may be at risk" or your have this or that, 99% of the time that is a bogus spyware program
I have..........Running for the bus...i refuse too. Every time i get near the bus stop,one flies past.I will not be shown up,running for a bus..ste.
I run 3 spyware progs , webroot spysweeper, adaware and spybot and they all run smoothly together but to be honest adaware and spybot are pretty much redundant because spysweeper is so efficient, wouldn't be without it !
