Windows xp im lost please help me on this?

hello . i have new pc , now it was slow down some virus and things.

so i use my system restore cd . that come with the pc . all went fine system restore cd. format pc then reset everything back up .then told me to remove the system restore cd. so i done that then restart my pc. then i seen windows xp screen it ask me some question like use name set up and things. so i follow what was said on screen . then it said thank you for having windows xp . then it said you have 30 days to register windows xp. then it load up to windows login screen and i login on the account id i had set up

but when it went to the desktop there was no registry icon in taksbar so i click on start all program accressories system tools . actvate windows then it said windows is already activated click on exit

so i do that then i download all windows xp update and download windows antispyware from microsoft website

The two most common ways to reinstall Windows XP is through a Full Install or a Repair Install. A Full Install wipes the hard drive clean (formats it) and everything is erased, including your special 25 digit product identification key which is how Microsoft knows if Windows is legal and activated. A Repair Install does not remove personal settings or programs. It just overwrites the existing XP with a clean copy. So your product identification key remains in place. It sounds like you did a Repair Install since the ''Activate Windows'' option under system tools said the product was already activated.
