I searched [Google, hotbot, webcrawl] the net for I-WORM/VB.GG. Guess what? The Grisoft site is the ONLY one with an answer. Symantec and McAfee dont even know about this virus / spyware. How come? The remove method was also crazy - download a bunch of free software -antispyware, botware etc. Does'nt this sound fishy? AVG says its forum is for Registered Users only, not for free users. No issues. I want to know how come no other antivirus company has posted / detected this virus.
Why is AVG Free the ONLY antivirus to detect I-WORM/VB.GG?computers
Each AV company gives virus's a different ID. This might have a different designation with other companies. Also if you searched for it in all caps like you listed here, it might not register in the search engine. Usually you need to be very accurate in how it is spelled. Exactly as the program that discovered it spells it. Sometimes minor change will result in negative search results.
Others do detect it. Check out this google page.

b/c AVG is awesome and its free. And its European made not American. those Europeans are trying to releasse a quality product and not worry about making money like Symantec and McAfee do. If they put as much money, in developing a product that would not lag your system and ditect more varuses, as they do in advertising - then they would be able to detect those viruses.
I agree with rammy . A virus detected by AVG could also be detectable by other anti virus but it comes in different name.
maybe they name it differently
