On my taskbar, there is a red circle with an x in it.?

A message pops up every 3 minutes saying ''Your computer is infected! Windows has detected spyware infection. It is recommended to use special antispyware tools to pervent (yes, it says pervent) data loss. Windows will now download and install the most up-to-date antispyware for you.

Click here to protect your computer from spyware!''

I know it's NOT from windows and I sure don't want to click on it! My Avast won't get rid of it and my Ad-Aware program only takes it away until I log in again. Does anybody know how to get rid of this?

Hi There,

It sounds like the malware has changed your registery settings and has somehting in you startup folder that re-installs it.

I recommend visiting http://www.techsupportforum.com/ .. sign up to the forums there follow the instructions and one of the speacilists will help you out. They are VERY good as long as you follow the instructions on the forum.
