IE7 on Vista Home Edition is slow to load pages?

When loading any page including the msn homepage on IE7 it take ages while trying to load images/web ads. The screen pause and my blue cursor circle spins and flickers on and off untill loaded. Am running Norton360, CA anti-virus%26antispyware and windows defender. Not got any add-on just the basic IE7.

It could be a lack of system resources (RAM). Also you indicate that you have Norton 360 and CA Antivirus. Norton 360 has an antivirus component and it isn't recommended to run more than one antivirus product. Running more than one can cause conflicts thus rendering each ineffective and is an unnecessaty drain of system resources.. You'll need to either disable it or the CA antivirus.

You can see if your computer can handle more RAM by going to Crucial.com and running a scan.

It's important to note that everything takes RAM. Not only security products (such as active anti-spyware, anti-virus and firewall) eat up memory but your operating system, active browser windows, running applications (such as Word, Gaming, Messenger, Photoshop, etc), graphic card and malware all compete for system resources. The presence of Malware (viruses, spyware, etc) will particularly eat up your system resources so you may want to run your resident security products such as antispyware and antivirus applications to ensure that your system is clean.
