My computer tells me I have a virus that steals info.... Whats the best solution?

What should I buy to fix this... I'm getting alot of popups for antispyware sights but I'm worried that they might be part of the virus. And if I use my credit card to make a purchase will I be at risk? Also my home page is gone and i'm not able to use the search tool unless I have a full address....

Your PC needs a good cleaning up and you dont have to buy anything to do it. Use both of these. They are both free and do a a lot deeper scan than most.

Ewido.

Go to the left of the page where it says,"Scan your computer now online

and clean it for free!"

yeah i think you have a phising issue.try to delet it with a antvir program.if it dont success.backup your data and format your harddrive and reinstall.
Give it some asperin
Give it info that it doesn't want and make it mad!
If you know such a virus is there, i dont think it will be advisable to do online transactions till its there. You can either try using one of the free Anti-virus programs.. AVG and Avast are two good examples. Or go in for commercial ones like Kaspersky or NOD32.
