Spyware doctor starter edition Spyware.known_Bad_Sites?

i recently downloaded the free version of spyware doctor. Everytime i do a scan, it shows me the ''Spyware.known_Bad_Sites'', i quarantined it first, did the scan again and still it appeared, i deleted it completely but still it appeared in the scan. I tried another antispyware spybot S%26D, but that didn't even find the error.

The thing is that spyware doctor says that spyware.known bad sites is a high level risk. i don't know what to do. is there any other antispyware that can get rid of this or is this threat really not that big

I can't get rid of trojan virus that virus scans aren't detecting - help?

I have some kind of virus that I must have gotten when I tried to download some video. My computer is working fine except for this pop-up alert I have been getting for about 3 days now that says:

''System Error! Your computer was infected by unknown trojan. It's dangerous for your system (critical files can be lost)! Click OK to download the antispyware program to clean your system! (Recommended)''

I've since run several virus scans including McAfee, Norton, AdAware, Windows Defender, Trend Micro Housecall. Some adware and spyware was detected and I got rid of it, but the message keeps popping up no matter what I do.

If I click OK it automatically prompts me to download this supposed ''antispyware program'' but I am afraid it's not legit. Or is it? It just seems really sketchy.

Any suggestions on how to get rid of the trojan?

If I understand your question correctly, you have successfully removed MonaRonaDona and this is a different problem.

On top of having the MRD virus I believe you also picked up either a smitfraud or a vundo (virtumonde) infection. The tool of choice in removing smitfraud is the smitfraudfix, run in safe mode. This link gives instructions for running the smitfraudfix in safe mode:

My avg popped up with that i had js/downloader.agent and i couldn't heal it so i put it in virus vault then i did the smitfruadfix steps where you do that cmd thing and you restart with safe mode it was stillin my virus vault i downloaded super antispyware and removed them from the virus vault so i could find it from super antispyware but nothing cam up so i just want to ask can i use system restore to get rid of it? anyway i can still find if its still on my computer

Well it sounds like super anti spyware has actually got rid of the infection *Thumbs up* However I would not reccomend doing a system restore because that may put the infection back on.

Use windows live one care the 90 day trial, this is pretty good of rooting out the smitfruad varient you have, and by the way iof it is the smitfruad, dont go on porn no more because thats the main way smitfruad and its varients are downloaded.

So use windows live onecare it will have to uninstall the other anti virus applications but hey you can put them back on when your done.

AHH! someone help me! I don't know what to do.

My brother and I were trying to find the two girls one cup video to show a friend who hasn't seen it, lol and somehow durning this process I downloaded some kind of spyware or something!?!? I never even downloaded anything on my computer. one site told me to download something, but I didn't save it to my comptuer I just hit ''run'' so I don't know what happened. Something changed the desktop background and it said I was at a severe risk of being infected with spyware. and now this thing keeps coming up and takes me to a website to download this antispyware thing. Is the entire thing fake? I tried downloading this antispyware but it won't download all the way.

Nothing's wrong with my computer. Everything runs the same. I even changed the desktop background back. AND installed mcafee and it says nothing's wrong. Could there really be something wrong? How do I fix it? How do I make the annoying warning things stop?

When I started my computer, I noticed that the background of my desktop had changed to a blue screen with the following message:

I went to download.com and downloaded a free spyware scanner. I ran it %26 Norton and they both found spyware %26 adware but said that it was all removed. The desktop background was still th same. I was able to go to my control panel and change it but when I restarted my computer, it was back.

Windows Security Center also keeps popping up with a threat alert that says ''AdBreak'' and ''TrojanDownloader.''

I have both Nod32 antivirus/antispyware and counterspy 2.0. Do i really need coutnerspy? Or is it just hoggin the system. Is the antispyware for nod32 good enough to go solo?

If you've got NOD32 Anti-Virus I doubt any anti-spyware program will ever find much, NOD32 protects you from nearly all malware. CounterSpy isn't a resource hog, nor is it expensive, but I wouldn't say you need it, it's up to you.

NOD32 would have an anti-spy if you have the Smart Security鈩?version.

The Smart Security鈩?Anti-Spy is good enough to go solo.
NOD32 is good but you should also have an external different anti-spyware, i would reccoment spybot S%26D, but i've also never used counterspy.
